The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) Program of Texas A&M University at Qatar invites applications for a full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) position in the area of computer engineering. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Instructional Assistant Professor or Instructional Associate Professor, depending on qualifications.
This non-tenure track position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with anticipated start date Summer or Fall 2024. The 9-month appointment includes a 3-3 teaching load during Fall-Spring semesters. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach two courses during the summer semester for an additional 3 months of salary. The applicant's primary responsibility will be teaching courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Candidates in all areas will be considered, but those in areas of computer engineering and programming are particularly encouraged to apply. This position assumes only teaching and service duties and does not assume research activities. Applicants who can offer new undergraduate courses such as App development for iOS and Android, programming of machine learning (AI) applications, computer networks represent a plus.
