The Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applications for 1 full-time, Academic Professional Track, Non-Tenure Track position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 1, 2024. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the PK-12 Educational Leadership Program.
We are especially interested in qualified candidates who represent and respect a variety of cultural and personal experiences within the academic community through their teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Contributing to Ed.D. students’ practitioner-oriented research advising efforts: advising on rigorous, practitioner-oriented research in the field of PK-12 educational leadership
- Teaching graduate-level courses (eight per academic year) in PK-12 Educational Leadership; details on courses are available on the program’s website: https://eahr.tamu.edu/academics/.
- Providing service through participation in governance and service of the program, department, school, and university
- Contributing to the development of the PK-12 educational leadership profession through participation in local, state, national, and/or international professional associations
- Engaging in K-12 educational leadership professional development, keeping current with the field, and broadening knowledge and expertise
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated ability or evidence for promise in teaching excellence through various instructional formats (in-person, online, and hybrid instruction)
- Social science research methodological expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed research methods
- Ability to advise and mentor Ed.D. students’ applied research efforts, including the composition and presentation of such efforts
- Demonstrated ability or evidence for promise in teaching excellence through various instructional formats (in-person, online, and hybrid instruction)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
Appointment: This is a full-time, nine-month academic professional track (non-tenure) position with an anticipated August 1, 2024 start date. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
