The Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, invites applications for up to six part-time and/or full time academic professional track (APT, non-tenure) positions at the lecturer, visiting lecturer, senior lecturer, visiting senior lecturer, instructional assistant professor, visiting instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, visiting instructional associate professor, instructional professor, visiting instructional professor, associate professor of practice, visiting associate professor of practice, professor of practice, and visiting professor of practice level with teaching expertise in industrial and systems engineering and/or data science/engineering. This is a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment is contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning as early as Spring 2025. Successful applicants will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program, including the new BS in Data Engineering Program; collaborate in instructing writing and communication, advise and mentor undergraduate students; and participate in relevant aspects of the department’s activities. In ISEN, many of the 29 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 15 teaching-focused faculty (APT) hold several national distinctions, including the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Industrial Engineering Award, the Albert G. Holzman Distinguished Educator Award, Fellow of IISE, HFES, ASME, and ASEE, and Editor-in-Chief.
