The Center for Advanced Small Modular and Microreactor Center (CASMR) within the Department of Nuclear Engineering in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time tenured or tenure-track position with a 9-month, academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning Fall 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of assistant, associate and full professor. Applications are invited from the areas of science, engineering, and technology, which include, but are not limited to, power engineering, advanced energy systems, reactor thermal hydraulics, advanced computational methods and simulation methodologies. We seek candidates who have multidisciplinary skills who can apply it at the intersection of various energy systems. Integrated high fidelity experimental and advanced simulation approaches are making it possible to accelerate their impact to create sustainable clean energy. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct original scholarly research, build self-sustainable research programs, teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to CASMR’s mission and performing service at the center (http://casmr.tamu.edu). For applicants applying for senior academic rank, experience in establishment of multi-disciplinary research programs is desirable, along with a demonstrated research and publication record and proven excellence at teaching.
