Description

Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position. This faculty member will teach on the Kingsville and College Station campuses and provide patient-care services in an inpatient internal medicine practice site in San Antonio, Texas. This position is an 11-month academic appointment beginning Fall 2025. 

 

The position requires teaching and service to the Department/College, the profession, and the public. The position provides opportunities for an individual with a strong commitment to an academic career emphasizing innovative educational, service, and scholarly activities. Scholarly activity is required; publication and presentation activities are expected. The academic responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, education for healthcare providers, students and residents. 

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a PharmD or other professional pharmacy degree from an accredited college/pharmacy school in the US. The candidate must be licensed as a pharmacist in Texas or be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. The candidate will be expected to obtain their preceptor license and maintain qualifications to be a pharmacy residency preceptor. The candidate will be expected to develop a clinical practice at University Health, San Antonio, TX. Preference will be given to candidates with a PGY2 in pharmacotherapy, internal medicine or fellowship in clinical pharmacokinetics.
