Description

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Aerospace Engineering with a 9-month academic appointment beginning Fall 2025.

We are seeking applicants in the broad area of engineering for space. Special consideration will be given to applicants with the following expertise (in no particular order): astrodynamics, space autonomy, space communication, space payloads, space systems engineering, spacecraft guidance, navigation and control, and on-orbit space operations. 

Candidates are encouraged to interpret these areas of interest broadly when assessing their fit for the position. 

The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise, and mentor graduate students, develop an independent, externally funded research program, initiate interdisciplinary partnerships, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.
