Description

The Department of Public Health Sciences at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for two full time 100%FTE, academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty positions with an 11-month service period; the start date is January, 2025, or negotiable. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor; rank commensurate on review of qualifications.

All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to beginning employment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising pre-doctoral dental students and providing patient care in the extramural clinics operated by the department of Public Health Sciences and the School of Dentistry
  • Clinical teaching in school of Dentistry main clinic
  • Participating in the didactic courses of the department as appropriate
  • Participating in the outreach initiatives of the department including Sealant Program.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a DDS, DMD or equvalent, and be eligible for licensure in Texas. 
  • AEGD or GPR certificate or five years of dental practice.
  • Candidate must have experience in all fields of general dentistry, have strong clinical skills, a strong background in clinical practice and surgery, the ability to efficiently lead and run a busy clinic, and be familiar with current dental technologies.  

Preferred Qualifications:

       Experience in clinical and didactic teaching of dental students

       Research experience in the field of Public Health
