Description

The Department of Statistics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University seeks two faculty positions for appointment of Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor. These appointments are full-time non-tenure track and will begin on August 1, 2025. The positions are temporary with a 9-month appointment and a possibility of renewal. 

The teaching load for this position includes teaching six courses per year (3+3). Based on applicant preferences, the courses may be taught at either the graduate or undergraduate level, and multiple sections of the same course may be counted separately toward the teaching requirement. These Visiting Instructional Assistant Professors will be assigned primarily to high-demand, bottleneck courses but may also teach online sections of courses offered through our Distance Learning MS program or online sections of the undergraduate bottleneck courses. The selected applicants are expected to participate in the course development at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Qualifications

Successful applicants must have a doctorate in statistics or a related field. Any previous experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level is also highly desired.
