Description

The Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with an 11-month academic appointment beginning September 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, Instructional Professor depending on qualifications.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing our teaching objectives and will contribute to research and collaborative efforts. This position involves significant emphasis on teaching, with a minor component dedicated to research and service. A primary responsibility will be team-teaching human gross anatomy to dental students and graduate students, collaborate with faculty across disciplines to integrate anatomical knowledge with other biomedical science content, participation in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor students and contribute to academic advising and scholarly activities Service to the department, university and the field and scholarly activities are also expected.  Allocation of effort  will be 80% Teaching; 10% Research/ Scholarship/Creative Work (RSC); 10% service.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree (e.g., D.D.S., D.M.D., M.D.) in anatomy or a related biomedical science field. Candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching anatomy and other biomedical sciences at the professional or graduate level and commitment to interdisciplinary education and collaborative teaching.
