A Ph.D. degree is required in a discipline relevant to the scope of the department including but not limited to hospitality management, hotel and lodging management, tourism management, event and meeting management, restaurant and foodservice management, revenue and financial management, or other relevant field. Current Ph.D. candidates must have their degree in hand by the date of hiring.
Preferred Experience: Successful candidates will have a strong pedagogical background and have demonstrated effective communication skills through instructional activities and outreach, in-class and online along with significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field.
Candidates will preferably have acquired professional experience in hospitality and/or hotel management. Applications are welcome from individuals who are completing a Ph.D. and who have potential for research productivity including external funding. Favorable consideration will be given to applicants who have the capacity to attract external funding and to supervise graduate students. Applications are also encouraged from those holding junior faculty positions elsewhere and who bring a track record of research publications and external funding.
