The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure track assistant professor with a focus in clinical psychology. This is a 9-month academic appointment set to being in Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will engage in research, grant applications, and funded projects; teach courses in our graduate and undergraduate programs; and act as an engaged citizen of the department, college, university, and their field. The area of specialization is open, and we welcome applicants whose research and teaching compliment the program's existing strengths which includes: substance use, anxiety, trauma, pain, health or health disparities, and developmental psychopathology. Candidates with expertise in psychological asssessment are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an outstanding, externally funded research program; contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching and mentorship; and provide service to the department, university and profession.

We offer doctoral programs in clinical psychology, cognition and cognitive neuroscience, social and personality psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, and behavioral and cellular neuroscience, and a Master's program in Industrial/Organizational psychology. We currently have 50 full-time faculty, over 100 PhD students, and approximately 3,000 undergraduate majors.
