The Educational Psychology Department in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position in Human Development & Family Sciences (HDFS). This position will support the newly launched undergraduate program in HDFS and will include research, teaching, and service responsibilities. We seek candidates who demonstrate potential for leadership in the field of HDFS, including potential for research excellence and collaborative grant-funded research.

This is a nine-month tenure-track or tenured appointment with an anticipated start date no later than the fall semester of 2026. Salary is competitive and commensurate with faculty rank and qualifications.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

·         Must have a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Sciences, or related field         

·         Must show evidence of programmatic research and high impact publications

·         Must show evidence of or potential for effective teaching and mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students

·         Must show evidence of commitment to collegiality and collaboration

·         Must show evidence of specific accomplishments demonstrating expertise in an area of HDFS that complements existing faculty expertise

·         Must demonstrate potential for leadership in the field of HDFS, including potential for research excellence and collaborative grant-funded research

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Evidence of success or clear potential for securing extramural funding relative to applicant’s stage of career

·        Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in any area of family science, including, but not limited to family systems, parenting styles, family management,
     familial relationships, and family dynamics, among others.
