Description

The Department of Statistics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University seeks one Academic Professional Track Faculty position for appointment of Instructional Assistant Professor. This appointment is a non-tenure track position and will begin on August 1, 2026. This position is full-time with a 9-month appointment and the expectancy of renewal. 

The teaching load for this position includes teaching six courses per year (3+3). This Instructional Assistant Professor should be prepared to teach bottleneck courses but may also teach online sections of courses offered through our Distance Learning MS program as required by the Department. Candidates who are able to teach courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, biostatistics or bioinformatics are preferred. The selected applicants are expected to participate in the course development at the graduate and undergraduate level.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Successful applicants must have a doctorate in statistics or a related field. Any previous experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level is also highly desired.
