Description

The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applicants for full-time tenured/tenure track faculty (3 positions open) in the areas of Analytical Chemistry (Assistant Professor), Organic Chemistry (Assistant or Associate Professor), and Chemical Biology (open rank - Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor), although adjacent areas may also be considered.  These positions are a 9-month full-time academic appointment with anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. 

Responsibilities for these positions include development of a vibrant research program, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the department, the university, and the field.  The successful candidates will be expected to be capable of teaching lecture and lab courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department of Chemistry at Texas A&M University houses state-of-the-art research facilities and scientific staff. Academic programs include the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Qualifications

Positions require a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.  Candidates must demonstrate the promise to publish in top tier academic journals and a desire to take an active role working with doctoral students. 

Preferred: Post-doctoral research, with demonstration of qualifications in research, teaching and service.
