Description

The Department of Translational Medical Sciences in the Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine at Texas A&M University is looking for one (1) full-time, 11-month, academic professional track (non-tenure) Research Assistant Professor position to begin on December 1, 2025.

The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong research program that addresses cancer in the respiratory system, that attracts significant extramural support, and contributes to the development of biomedical research within the Department of Translational Medical Sciences. They will also be responsible for mentoring graduate students, training post-doctoral fellows, and other trainees.

The Department of Translational Medical Sciences serves as the academic home for the Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine faculty residing in Houston. The institute supports translational medical research and both graduate and post-graduate training in multiple fields of biomedical research through its four Centers of Excellence in Translational Medical Sciences.

Qualifications
  1. Ph.D. in environmental health sciences
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in biomedical research
