The Department of Public Service and Administration in The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University is seeking one part-time, non-tenured Visiting Lecturer for the Spring 2026 semester to teach PSAA 272: Introduction to National Defense and Homeland Security. We seek candidates whose demonstrated leadership and career achievements equip them to inspire and mentor undergraduate students who seek similar careers. We invite applications from candidates with significant accomplishments in homeland security and/or cybersecurity. Ideal candidates will have experience leading campus transformation strategies aligned with federal public service standards, directing AI transformation initiatives, and teaching courses in program analytics and/or risk management. Successful applicants will contribute to the development and implementation of our Homeland Security and National Defense area of specialization. A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students in an academic setting is essential.
This is a part-time, single semester appointment starting January 2026.
Successful candidates will be expected to carry out a vigorous program of teaching at the undergraduate level.
