Description

The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. Applicants will be considered for the title of Lecturer. This position is teaching-intensive (90%) and includes expectations for service (10%). It is a renewable position with opportunities to advance along the lecturer track, progressing from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer to Principal Lecturer.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field. To support the Department of Biology’s undergraduate teaching mission, preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching biology at the undergraduate level. Experience teaching lower and upper-level courses using student-centered approaches that promote student success is desirable.
