The Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College Station, Texas continues to embark on an ambitious expansion to become a nationally recognized leader in nutrition sciences. We currently invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with 9-month appointment. The current department has active research programs in obesity, diabetes, cancer stem cell biology, cancer metabolism, maternal and women’s health nutrition, inflamm-aging and evidence-based practice and guidelines. To meet the needs of the emerging fields of evidence-based nutrition, precision nutrition and clinical practice and policy, the department has an interest in building on its strengths in expanding its applied human nutrition research. Extension. The Department provides food safety and nutrition education outreach to underserved-populations and the general public in Texas to improve health and well-being, and to reduce the risk of nutrition related diseases.
