Description

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in Aerospace Engineering (Bioastronautics and/or Human Systems Integration) with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning Fall 2024. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in (1) Spacecraft and Spacesuit Systems Design and Modeling, (2) Digital Human Modeling (DHM), (3) Advanced Materials for Spacesuit/Spacecraft Applications, (4) Partial Gravity Fluid Physics and Thermal Modeling (Experimental and CFD), and (5) Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS).  The successful applicant will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; initiate interdisciplinary partnerships, and participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.
