Description

The Department of Educational Psychology is seeking applications for 1 Academic Professional Track (APT) Clinical Assistant Professor of Special Education (SPED). This is a full-time, 9-month position starting August 1, 2024. Primary responsibilities will be instruction and mentoring of students in the Special Education undergraduate teacher preparation program, including field supervision. Applicants are expected to have successful university level teaching experiences and SPED teaching experience (EC -12).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 1. Earned a Ph.D. in special education or associated field. 2. Experience teaching in public schools (EC-12) 3. Ability to teach teacher preparation courses via traditional and/or online methods. 4. Knowledge of High Leverage Practices for special educators. 5. Commitment to collegiality and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications 6. Experience with field supervision.
