Description

The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds.  Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of professor, associate professor or assistant professor ranks. The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, develop an independent, externally funded research program, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession. The position will a) support the growth of Master's of Engineering in Engineering with a specialization in Cybersecurity Program and the cybersecurity engineering graduate certificate, b) support the growth of the undergraduate cybersecurity minor and c) support the growth of Multidisciplinary Engineering as a new department within the College of Engineering. This position will be one of the centerpieces for cybersecurity engineering within the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, helping to increase its teaching, research, and service mission as a department. 

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned a PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in computer science and engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.
