The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences, School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment. Additionally, if enrollment trends necessitate, teaching duties may be required during the 10-week summer session for extra compensation. The occupant of this position will be expected to devote up to 100% effort to teaching. This is a renewable position with an opportunity for advancement in the lecturer track going from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer to Principal Lecturer.
Primary teaching responsibilities will focus on delivering writing-intensive courses that are discipline specific to the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) undergraduate students. The BIMS program—one of the largest majors at Texas A&M University—is designed to give students a strong foundation in the biomedical sciences that allows them to pursue professional and graduate school programs, as well as careers in biomedical fields.
