POSITION
The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Instructional Assistant Professor faculty position with an 11-month academic appointment. This occupant of this position will be expected to devote up to 90% effort to teaching and at least 10% effort to either academic citizenship or scholarship. Scholarship may encompass collaborative biomedical research or scholarship of teaching and learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary teaching responsibilities will focus on delivering writing-intensive courses that are discipline specific to the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) undergraduate students. The BIMS program—one of the largest majors at Texas A&M University—is designed to give students a strong foundation in the biomedical sciences that allows them to pursue professional and graduate school programs, as well as careers in biomedical fields. In addition to the writing-intensive courses, opportunities to develop courses that support the BIMS undergraduate curriculum and align with the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences mission may arise.
