Description

The Department of Chemistry, College of Science at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for three full-time, non-tenure-track position(s) at the Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, or Instructional Associate Professor rank to teach undergraduate lecture and/or laboratory courses and/or assist with lab coordination in our first-year (General) or organic chemistry programs.  The successful applicant should hold an awarded Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field.  In addition to their teaching, the successful applicant will be significantly engaged with other faculty in the development of new curricula and may supervise teaching assistants. The anticipated start date will be on or about September 1, 2022 and will be 9 months for the 2022-23 academic year, with a possibility of renewal beyond that period.

Qualifications

Earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or closely related field prior to the start date. Additional years of experience will be required for those applying at higher ranks. We are seeking candidates with potential to demonstrate excellence in the classroom and in mentoring students outside the classroom. Preferred qualifications: experience in teaching in General or Organic Chemistry.
