Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): Clinical Associate Professor or Professor

The Department of Diagnostic Sciences, College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University in Dallas Texas invites applications for a full-time tenured or academic professional (clinical) position with a 11-month academic faculty appointment in the Division of Pathology. Applicants will be considered for the ranks of Associate/Full Professor depending on qualifications. Responsibilities of the position will include teaching oral and maxillofacial pathology (OMFP) to dental hygiene, pre-doctoral dental and graduate students and mentoring the OMFP residents’ research projects. Scholarly activity is required as well as service to the dental school, health science center and the university. The candidate will have an opportunity to participate in the departments biopsy service and must be ABOMP board certified, have the ability to be licensed to practice in the state of Texas, and at least 10 years of teaching and surgical pathology experience. Rank and salary will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate.
The candidate must have DDS, DMD or equivalent, be a graduate from a CODA accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Facial Pathology (OMFP) residency training program with board certification in OMFP, at least 10 years of teaching and surgical pathology experience, and be eligible for licensure in Texas. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in graduate education, research, pathology practice and related scholarly achievements.
