Description

The Department of Pharmacy Practice, Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University and College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS), Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) invite applications for one full-time, non-tenure track faculty position with an 11 month academic appointment beginning Fall semester 2022.  This is a veterinary medicine hospital pharmacy position and  applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor depending on qualifications. 

The position requires teaching, service, and research to the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, CVMBS– VMTH, the profession, and the public. The position provides opportunities for an individual with a strong commitment to an academic career, emphasizing innovative educational, service, and scholarly activities.  Scholarly activity is required; clinical research, publication, and presentation activities are expected. The academic responsibilities will include, but not limited to, participation in an interprofessional education program, education of students and residents.  Service and scholarly duties will involve collaboration with other clinicians in a veterinary medicine hospital practice setting where research opportunities exist.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a PharmD or another professional pharmacy degree from another accredited college/pharmacy school in the US.  The candidate must be licensed as a pharmacist in Texas or be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Preference will be given to candidates with a veterinary pharmacy residency or experience in veterinary pharmacy.
