Description

The Department of Veterinary Large Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, 11-month appointment, non-tenure track, temporary lecturer position in Equine Soft Tissue Surgery.  This position is for a minimum duration of 6 months during the months June 2022 through June 2023. Applicants are required to have interest, experience, training and expertise in equine internal medicine. 

The successful applicant will be assigned to the Equine Soft Tissue Surgery Service and provide continuity of patient care and instruction to house officers and students in the professional curriculum.

Qualifications

Applicants must have completed an American College of Veterinary Surgery residency and be qualified to take the ACVS examination.  While applicants are desired who have experience in equine soft tissue surgery, expertise in equine emergencies and food animal surgery is also valuable.  Candidates must have a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree and must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas, licensed prior to employment.
