Description

The Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry at Texas A&M University invites applications for a a full time (70%-100%), non-tenure, Academic Professional Track position with an 11-month service period, with an anticipated start date of March 1, 2023. Appointment will be at either Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate levels, depending on qualifications.  

This position calls for a person who is able to build and maintain the department's reputation nationally and internationally through excellence in teaching pre and post doctoral programs, scholarly activity and professional related service. This faculty member will participate in didactic, preclinical and clinical teaching at pre and post-doctoral levels, as well as assist in the advancement of new educational projects. Clinic teaching and resident patient oversight will depend on the qualifications of the faculty member. Additionally, this faculty member should be able to teach biomechanics.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from a CODA accredited program, be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Orthodontics, and must be able to obtain a dental license in the State of Texas.

Candidates should have a demonstrable record of excellence in leadership, teaching, service, patient care and academic management.
