The Department of Primary Care & Rural Medicine, College of Medicine at Texas A&M University invites applications for two (2), full-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) positions with an 11-month academic appointment beginning in the fall of 2024. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor depending on qualifications. Seeking highly dedicated and compassionate primary care physicians to join its new concierge medicine practice in Bryan-College Station. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, a commitment to personalized and proactive patient care, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure patient satisafaction. You will build strong, long-term relationships with patients by offering a more individualized approach to healthcare, emphasizing preventive care, wellness, as well as, continuous and direct accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care with a focus on a low-volume, high-touch, personalized and progressive evidence-based care in a concierge medicine model with an average target patient panel of 400.
- Spend extra time with patients during visits to thoroughly address their health concerns, review medical history, and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Offer 24/7 availability to respond to patient inquiries via phone, text, or patient portal messages, ensuring timely and consistent communication.
- Promote proactive, preventive care by developing personalized wellness plans based on each patient's unique needs, including health screenings, lifestyle modifications, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for your patients.
- Foster trusting and respectful relationships with patients by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a genuine interest in their health and well being.
- Continuously monitor and follow up on patients' progress, adjusting treatment and wellness plans, as necessary.
- Monitor care of members when admitted for inpatient care. Provide courtesy visits when appropriate and coordinate post-discharge care.
- Meet non-clinical service requirements to the College of Medicine or Department of Primary Care of Rural Medicine such as medical student education or committee service.
