The Department of Public Health Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, Academic Professional track position (non-tenure) with an 11-month academic appointment beginning Spring 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate Professor depending on qualifications. This is a budgeted joint appointment split between the Department of Public Health Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Dentistry.
The College of Dentistry seeks a full-time biostatistician to teach statistics courses for predoctoral and postdoctoral students and residents, and also provide strong support for the college’s research enterprise, including basic, translational, epidemiological, and clinical researches.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Collaborating with faculty, researchers, and students in designing, analyzing, and interpreting data for dental research studies, including basic research, clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and translational research
· Teaching biostatistics and related topics to dental students, graduate students, and residents
· Mentoring and guiding students on their research projects & providing support in statistical analysis and methodology
Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs at the discretion of the department heads. The faculty will contribute to departmental and college-wide committees, particularly in research oversight and curriculum development.
