The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) position. Depending on qualifications and experience applicants will be considered for the titles of lecturer, senior lecturer, instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, instructional professor, associate professor of the practice, and professor of the practice with a 9-month academic appointment beginning as early as August 1, 2026. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program; advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
As a major department with an enrollment of about 1,700 undergraduate, 300 Ph.D. and 450 master's students pursuing degrees in electrical and computer engineering, our mission is fourfold to create new knowledge and challenge young minds by participation in the process of discovery and invention, to educate electrical and computer engineers with a solid background of fundamentals, to prepare graduates for an exciting future and to serve the society through research, education and outreach activities.
