Description

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for academic professional track faculty positions in the ranks of research assistant professor, research associate professor or research professor with teaching expertise in materials science and engineering. The successful applicants will perform research and occasionally teach, participate in the department’s activities, and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Applicants should consult the department’s website to review our academic and research programs (engineering.tamu.edu/materials).

Applicants must have a masters or doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline.

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M is jointly operated by the College of Engineering and College of Science. This multidisciplinary department includes full-time faculty and joint and affiliated faculty members from several disciplines, including aerospace engineering, biology, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, nuclear· engineering and physics. The new faculty member(s) will be integral contributors to the department's strategic research direction and to its continued drive toward excellence in academia, research and service.
