Description

The Department of Accounting in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University invites applications for two tenured/tenure-track faculty positions beginning Summer 2020.  This position is open to rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and specialization, but there is a preference for an interest in interactive data analytics in their classes. 

Successful candidates will normally be appointed nine calendar months each year (September 1 through May 31), with the opportunity to earn up to two months additional salary during the summer for the purpose of supporting their research activities.

The focus of this position is on teaching graduate and undergraduate classes, conducting scholarly research and working with PhD students. The position also requires a strong interest in data analytics including a willingness to teach and develop courses in data analytics.

Qualifications

Candidates at all levels should have a doctoral degree in accounting, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a strong interest in working with PhD students.

At the assistant professor level, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated potential for publishing high quality research in leading journals. At the associate and full professor level, preference will be given to candidates with established high-quality research records, with an additional emphasis placed on research impact for candidates at the full professor level.
