The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) Program (https://www.qatar.tamu.edu/programs/ecen/) of Texas A&M University at Qatar invites applications for a full-time rolling contract track faculty position in the area of computer engineering with preference for hiring an Assistant or Associate professor; however, exceptional candidates at the level of full Professor will be considered too. This position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with anticipated start date September 1, 2020. The ECEN Program is fully committed to a culturally and academically diverse faculty. The successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrated research capability that will enable to develop an independent research program and publish in leading scholarly journals, and a strong dedication to carry out service activities.
Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) is a partnership with Qatar Foundation. Established in 2003, TAMUQ offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical, Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering and a Master Program in Chemical Engineering. The degree programs are identical to those of the main campus at College Station, Texas. A Texas A&M University diploma is awarded to graduates.
