The Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center, a Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station Center at Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time non-tenure academic professional track appointment as a Professor of Practice and Director the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center. This 11-month academic appointment begins spring of 2020. The successful applicant will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession.

The center director develops and implements the mission and strategies for and manages and directs the activities of the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center in accordance with the objectives of the center, and the rules and policies of the Texas A&M University System. They maintain, expand and develop new projects, clients and exploits new markets in the general area of cybersecurity and related technologies R&D, workforce development and technology commercialization. The center director communicates the activities of the center to faculty, clients, sponsors, and leadership and receives their input. They also foster, participate in, and develop collaborative and multidisciplinary activities with TAMUS faculty related to cybersecurity and related technologies. The center director represents Cybersecurity Center in in the general area of Cybersecurity and related technologies. They also organize, supervise, and manage the employees of the center.


Applicants must have, at the minimum, an earned bachelor level degree and substantial experience for professor of practice level titles.
