Texas A&M University College of Nursing is accepting applications for one part-time non-tenure track Lecturer to teach undergraduate nursing in Round Rock, Texas.  This position is expected to have a 4 month appointment and begin on 1/15/2020. We have campus locations in Bryan and Round Rock; other locations include Lufkin, and McAllen.  The College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner, MSN-Education, and MSN-Forensic Nursing degree programs. Future plans include a Doctoral program. 

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for teaching include, include teaching in the classroom, selecting and managing clinical learning experiences, providing clinical supervision, advising students, preparing course materials and examinations, evaluating student performance, and maintaining clinical currency and relevant certifications.


Required Education:

Minimum degree required is a Master of Science in Nursing. Exception may be considered in accordance with the Texas Board of Nursing criteria for a faculty waiver if candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and is currently enrolled in a master’s nursing education program and has earned a minimum of 50% of the required credits toward the master’s degree in nursing. 

Required Experience:

Experience teaching at the baccalaureate or higher, is required.  Two or more years of recent nursing practice experience is required. Candidate must hold a current RN license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.

Required Registrations, Certifications and Licenses:

Candidate must be eligible for a Texas RN license.
