The Institute for Quantum Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas invites applications for up to three full-time Research Track (Non-Tenure) positions with an 11 month academic appointment beginning spring semester 2021. Applicants will be considered for the titles of Research Assistant/Associate/Full Professor depending on qualifications and experience . We are in search of theoretical and experimental research faculty in QUANTUM OPTICS, LASER PHYSICS, and BIOPHOTONICS to work between our labs at Texas A&M, Baylor, and Princeton Universities. Theoretically, we work in several areas, including, e.g., laser physics, quantum thermodynamics, Bose condensation, quantum informatics., and biophysics. Experimentally, we are looking for applicants with broad experimental background in, e.g., diode lasers, high power and XUV lasers, Raman spectroscopic techniques, at-range detection fiber optics, and detection of biophysics, e.g., SARS-CoV-2 virus and antibodies, etc. Researchers will also perform calculations and analysis, assist in hosting Institute visitors, write technical manuscripts, prepare Power Point slides and presentations, and participate in and organize conferences, summer schools, and workshops.
REQUIREMENT: Requirements include an earned PhD in Physics or a related field with a strong record of research and publications.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
