Description

The Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for one full-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) Lecturer position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning January 1, 2025. This faculty position will contribute to the advancement of our undergraduate teaching programs and provides for promotion opportunities following university guidelines. Responsibilities for this position include teaching three courses per semester at the undergraduate level. Professional service, leadership, student mentoring and other scholarly activities in teaching and learning are expected.

 The Department of Agricultural Economics is a large department with a broad array of programs, faculty, and students focusing on the application of economic analysis to decision problems in agriculture, natural resources, agribusiness, finance, and community economics.  For more information, visit our website at: http://agecon.tamu.edu. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business or related field, and must have significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field. 
  • Ability to work cooperatively with students, faculty and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work within a community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business or related field.
  • Previous experience in agricultural production, business management, marketing, or sales.
  • Prior teaching experience and/or the ability to demonstrate strong teaching capability.
