The department currently has three openings, two in Kingsville in biomedical, pharmaceutical sciences, or related areas, and one in College Station that is in the area of Social and Administrative Pharmacy (see below for further details).
Social and Administrative Pharmacy Position.
The Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy invites nominations and applications for a faculty position in Social and Administrative Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is an 11-month, tenure-track/tenure review upon hire position in College Station. Faculty rank (Associate or Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities would include developing and maintaining a sustainable and extramurally-funded research program, and making significant contributions to research in the department related to one or multiple broader areas including pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication and other health care services, sociobehavioral aspects of patient care and health outcomes, and related research areas. Additional responsibilities include teaching/assisting in the delivery of the College’s PharmD and/or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs, mentoring and advising of students and postdocs, and contributing to establishing a positive, supportive and collaborative environment. Current research in the department with potential for collaboration include: pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, as well as drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and infectious disease. There are ample opportunities to engage in collaborative research, conduct applied and contract research, and contribute to enhancing the research portfolio and the service mission of the College and Texas A&M University. The faculty members will serve in the department of pharmaceutical sciences position in Kingsville. Faculty rank (associate, or full professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities would include significant contributions to research in the department related to one or multiple broader areas of biomedical, pharmaceutical, or related areas. Teaching/assisting in courses as per the needs of the College in the delivery of its professional pharmacy and graduate curriculum, mentoring and advising of students and postdocs; and establishing a positive and supportive environment conducive to enhance research endeavor and funding successes will also be part of job responsibilities. Current research in the department with potential for collaboration include; drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, infectious disease, and pain management research. The faculty member is expected to utilize and/or add to the established research resources of the department. This a full-time, 11-month, Tenured/Tenure-Track/Tenure Review Upon Hire position and will also include duties related to graduate and Pharm.D. programmatic assessment.
